Akal Digital was established in Kuala Lumpur after its founders noticed a recurring pattern: Malaysian businesses were interested in AI but found existing services either too generic or too ambitious for where they actually were as organisations. The tools existed. The knowledge to use them well, and the support to build that knowledge internally, was harder to find.
We started with a focus on the intersection of AI and people — specifically how AI tools land within teams, how staff respond to them, and what it takes for adoption to hold over time. This led to our early work in talent acquisition and training, which remains central to what we do.
Today, Akal Digital works across three practice areas: AI-enhanced recruitment, machine learning operations training, and intelligent document search. Our clients range from growing SMEs to established organisations navigating their first structured AI engagement.

Brings over a decade of experience in enterprise technology adoption across Malaysian and regional organisations, with a specialisation in AI readiness assessment and change management.

Head of Engineering
A machine learning engineer with practical experience deploying production AI systems at scale. Leads all technical delivery including MLOps implementations and document intelligence platform work.

Training Lead
Designs and delivers the training components across all Akal Digital engagements. Background in instructional design and adult learning, with particular focus on technical upskilling in HR and ops teams.
